Join us for a critical discussion on the incoming Trump administration's immigration control tactics and its potential consequences for our community. We will explore the legal complexities, humanitarian concerns, and economic consequences of the proposed immigration policies in the new administration. *This event is free, however, registration is required!* The program will be moderated by the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, Amos Izerimana Panelists include: - John Koehlinger, Executive Director of KRM - Alison Voit, Resettlement Director of Catholic Charities - Rebecca Sim, Esq., Director of our Immigration Legal Services Department of Catholic Charities - Darryl Young Jr, Executive Director of International Rescue Committee - Louisville. Questions to explore include: 1. What are the legal challenges and obstacles to implementing the proposed immigration policies? 2. How will these policies affect individuals with different immigration statuses, such as J-1, H1-B, and green card holders? 3. How will these policies impact local businesses and industries that rely on immigrant labor? 4. Fact and fiction of immigrants/refugees 5. What's next?
